Dr. Previtera is a Postdoctoral Associate in the department of Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University. Her Ph.D. is in Cell and Developmental Biology from UMDNJ and Rutgers University. She completed a rigorous multidisciplinary thesis that combined biomedical engineering and neuroscience. Currently, Dr. Previtera is developing biomaterials to resolve post-surgical complications and to tissue engineer neurons. Thus, Dr. Previtera can read, review, consult, and design experiments in many disciplines.

Dr. Previtera has skills in both editing and writing. She has written several first author articles accepted in engineering and biology peer-reviewed journals. She has helped her peers, undergraduates, and professors write, edit, and review articles and grant proposals. She has given presentations to people inside and outside her field of study to both scientist and non-scientist. Dr. Previtera has also worked for a recycling company writing, reading, and consulting on plastic technologies
