Courtney is a successful scientist who completed her PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She has a strong scientific background, with her Bachelors of Science in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Psychology. She currently works in a Biochemistry and Embryology Laboratory focused on understanding the role of the Wnt signaling pathway during embryogenesis and tumorigenesis. Courtney has authored papers that have been submitted to top tiered journals, including Nature.
Courtney is a member of The Society of Developmental Biology and the Association of Women in Science. She has held executive board positions for departmental organizations in which she was responsible for the creation, production and editing of promotional brochures and monthly newsletters. She has been awarded Best Poster Presentation twice at the Biochemistry Annual Research Retreat. Courtney has experience editing a variety of scientific articles prior to their publication in peer-reviewed journals.
