Frequently Asked Questions About Empirical Editing Services

1. How do I submit a project?

Submitting a project is simple. Email Quote@EmpiricalEditing.com. Tell us the length of your paper, the level of service recommended and the turnaround time for the paper (normal or rush order). We will respond quickly via email with a quote for the work. If you are satisfied with the quote, simply send us the full paper and we will send you an invoice.

2. Can I see a sample of the editing before I use the service?

Of course! Send us your entire or partial document and we will edit a small portion so you will be able to see the editing style (usually 2-4 paragraphs). If you are satisfied with the editing job, we can continue to edit the entire document to your specifications. If you need the editing to be adjusted, let us know and we can tailor the service to your needs.

3. How do I pay?

Payment is easy. After you agree to the quoted price, we will send an invoice to your email. This email will have a link to the payment center and you can pay with a credit card or PayPal account. Once the payment is complete, the work on your project will begin.

4. Is my work guaranteed?

We guarantee that you will be satisfied with the editing service for your work. While we cannot guarantee successful publication (because that relies on other things, such as study design and quality of the research question), we will help you prepare everything to get the best possible reviews. If your paper gets rejected based on the quality of the English, we will re-edit your work without any additional charge.

5. Will my work remain confidential?

Yes, absolutely. If needed, we can send a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that can be signed by both parties to ensure that your work will not be shared. We never disclose your name, affiliation, payment info or email information with anyone.

6. How do I see the edits?

All edits are made in MS Office Track Changes. If you have any questions about how to use this, just let us know. All of the edits will appear in the paper and you can choose to accept or reject each of them.

7. What if I have specific requests or questions after the editing?

Because we are a small editing company, you will get to know your editor. You will be able to contact them before, during or after the editing is completed with any questions or concerns that you may have. This is one of the biggest benefits to using our service. We can adjust the editing style to meet your needs. Whether you need a specific format (APA, AMA, etc.) or specific English (American vs Traditional English), we can meet your needs. If you provide the journal name we can also format the document so all you would have to do is submit it online.

8. Can I select the editor I want to review my work?

The editor who reviews or creates your work will be the best fit to meet your needs. If you choose a specific editor, we will make an effort to meet your request. If we are unable to match you and your editor, we will notify prior to starting the work.
